Exercise improves the baseline function for those with muscle weakness conditions, drastically improving their quality of life. However, the patient’s access and adherence to physiotherapy are poor - they find it boring or forget to do it. Orion tackles this by connecting the patient with a specialist physiotherapist via the app for a consultation. The physiotherapist then creates a specialist workout to help the patient meet their goals. Orion has a sensor and weights which can be attached to the torso, arms and legs. The weights are each 100g allowing up to 400g load in each location on the body. The Orion app syncs with the dock to play the user’s choice of music and to give instructions to improve technique. The sensor tracks their movements to monitor technique, progress their work-out and detect if their condition is worsening.
