Nearly 60% of the world’s population reads daily or more than once a week. 6% have never read books, which is equivalent to 22,000 consumers in 17 countries. Research indicates that only 51% ofUK adults read, with 34% of them reading more than ten books. Not to mention 41% of adults usually lie about the amount they read. Reading is an excellent behavioural habit to develop, although the population of people who read has decreased in the last few years. TIMEMARK is a quantified reading device, developed to help people develop better reading habits with reminders and self-quantified functions. The device clips onto a book and marks the page with a string. Reading time can be accumulated and recorded to see how much reading was done. A reading reminder in the form of LED and sound will occur every day
