Moulded pulp trays have been extensively used when transporting mass-produced consumer products. Now, with the use of TRUETRAY, the advantages of these packing trays can be applied to one-off products such as 3D printed parts and artisan ceramics. This counter-top manufacturing system creates ready-to-ship moulded pulp trays, each uniquely fitted to their cargo in as little as 15 minutes. Packers can select from a range of tray mould sizes with deformable Lycra centres to suit a range of applications. The mould and shipped product are placed into the unit where the automated system creates a pulp tray from a paper slurry. The use of form-fitted moulded pulp trays greatly reduces the number of ways in which a parcel can be improperly packed; thereby reducing the severity and frequency of cargo damage.
