By monitoring soil humidity, light intensity and temperature inside a greenhouse, the device will change how often the plants need to be watered. For example on an overcast rainy day, the plants will need to be watered less often than a bright sunny day. This is achieved using an analogue soil moisture sensor, an analogue thermometer and a light dependent resistor. The soil moisture sensor is simply inserted into the soilwhere the user would like to monitor the conditions, and the device will change the watering frequency using pulse width modulation. The user can change the display of the screen, using the button, to see the conditions inside the greenhouse. The device is battery powered and will go into sleep mode during the night to preserve battery life.
