Dyslexia is a learning disability which has various symptoms including difficulty with reading and comprehension and causes issues with working memory transfer. 16% of the UK population have Dyslexia with it ranging in different degrees of severity.
The gap identified is in the lack of recognition and support for young adults coping with Dyslexia and the negativity surrounding the stigma of the label. The majority of the existing market for dyslexia friendly products are extreme in terms of functionality and price, and typically are created with a younger generation in mind, this leaves a gap for a product which is both affordable and functional for adolescents. Mina is a platform that works to alleviate symptoms and effects caused by Dyslexia and is age appropriate for 18-23 years.
