Students are expected to work on a self-chosen or industry-based project, which will challenge them to explore new knowledge, as well as apply all knowledge and skills that they have learned and mastered in previous years, such as design for manufacturing, communication design and research. Up to now, Brunel Design students have supported various organisations (large and small; for-profit and not-for-profit; product-based and service- based) in solving their design problems. Through this module, students are able to demonstrate their ability to plan and manage an independent project and come up with original design solutions. The outcomes of this module have led to many innovative products/services in the marketplace and a number of successful design entrepreneurs.
